What are the health benefits of lemon?

The properties and benefits of lemon make it one of the best fruits in the Universe. It is found in almost every part of the Universe, especially in hot countries.

Initially, lemon was unfamiliar to the Roman and Greek populations. Europeans became aware of its properties during the Crusades (religious wars). Over time, they also examined its properties and found it to be an extremely useful fruit.

There are several types of lemons, and they all have almost all beneficial properties, with sweet lime being a unique type.

However, when it comes to medicine, Bijoura, Jambiri, and Kagzi lemons are particularly used. In this book, we will specifically mention the properties of Kagzi lemons. The term lemon generally refers to Kagzi lemons.

Lemon has been extensively praised in Ayurvedic literature. Lemon is sour, carminative, light, digestive, insecticide, sharp, useful in stomach disorders, a remedy for fatigue, beneficial in Vata-Pitta-Kapha and Shula, and increases appetite.

It relieves difficult indigestion, increases appetite, and is beneficial in many Tridosha-related diseases, immediate fever, weak digestion, mouth ulcers, constipation, colic pain, and hiccups.

Western scholars learned about the properties of lemons much later. After several experiments, they also discovered its usefulness in scurvy. Scholars found that lemons contain Vitamin C, which helps prevent and treat scurvy.

What type of vitamin is present in lemon?

Vitamins A,B and C are present in lemon.

It may also lead to joint dryness, pain, instability, and rheumatoid arthritis. A foul odor may arise from the mouth, and internal organs may be affected. Lemons contain vitamin A (one part).

Vitamin B supports the body's metabolism and nutrition. It is essential for maintaining a stable life and good health. Its deficiency may result in decreased digestive power, indigestion, constipation, and obstruction.

Beriberi disease may also develop due to a severe lack of vitamin B. Knowledge workers benefit from vitamin B. The growth of children can be hampered if their diet lacks vitamin B. Lemons contain vitamin B (two parts).

Vitamin C assists in the process of digestion. Intestinal ulcers, heart disease, stiff joints, bad breath, and periodontal disease can result from a vitamin C lack in the stomach and intestines.

It also results in the malfunctioning of internal organs and makes the body weak and ineffective. Lemon contains three parts of Vitamin C.

It provides 180 calories of heat energy per pound. Minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, and chlorine are found in lemon.

The deficiency of calcium in the body leads to weakened and thin bones, lack of warmth in the blood, and disruption in the process of nourishing the body.

The deficiency of potassium results in liver disorders and constipation, and delayed wound healing. The deficiency of magnesium leads to nerve damage, instability, and increased blood clotting.

The deficiency of chlorine in the body can lead to the accumulation of various disorders. Lemon is rich in the aforementioned mineral elements and is undoubtedly a highly beneficial substance.

Its usage in the culinary domain is more extensive than that of other fruits.

Lemon is also a rich source of carbohydrates, which are essential for generating physical strength and maintaining body warmth.

Such substances are evaluated based on their thermogenic properties. They increase appetite, thirst, vitality, sleep, and sexual desire. Lemon also contains acids that enhance digestive capacity.
